The new Audi A8 is expected to be introduced to fans at an event in Barcelona on July 11. The car will then be brought to the Frankfurt Motor Show.
According to some information, the fourth generation of the A8 will have many design changes, most likely the car looks slimmer and has a language design similar to the Prologue concept was introduced before.
The Audi A8’s chassis is based on Audi’s new MLB Evo platform, so the Audi A8 is slightly heavier than the current model. In addition, engineers from the German car company have adapted the design of this system to fit the new powertrain that will be incorporated into the car.
To compete with other cars in the same segment, Audi also promises to equip for A8 the latest technology as the rush hour support system, it helps the car operate more safely while reducing stress for the driver.
Although there is not any information about the engine that Audi intended to use for the A8, many thought that the car will use the same engine with the current version.
Some revealed that, beside Audi’s gasoline and diesel engines, the A8 also has a hybrid engine and the variant will be offered immediately after the car officially launches the world car market.
With the Audi A8, consumers can choose from 2 gasoline engines: 4.0L V8, 460HP and WL 6.3L, 565HP or 3 diesel engines: V6 3.0L TDI with 272HP, V8 TDI 4.0L capacity of 408HP and V10 TDI 5.0L capacity of 500HP.
