Only a few months before the first Genesis G70 will be launched worldwide, thus, Hyundai brand is rushing to complete the finals stages for the G70 production version.
The G70 is the first independent car built entirely by Genesis brand. In the past, as a sub-brand of Hyundai, Genesis owns only two G80 sedans and large G90 on the markets, however, these two models are based on the model of the existing cars of Hyundai.
The all new Genesis G70 will share the same architecture with Kia’s new Stinger, with a more conventional sedan than Kia Stinger. A bit larger than 3Series, G70 camouflage models exhibit a lot of clear detail such as diamond grille, alloy wheels of different designs and new, secondary exhaust. It belongs to the hierarchy of the body of the body and motor.
In terms of transmission, the Genesis G70 may also own the same engine as the Stinger because of the same chassis. In particular, the 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine is expected to be the most basic version on the G70, producing about 250 horsepower; The 3.3-liter dual-turbo V6 engine that has been used on the G80, G90 and Stinger can be supplied as an option with power in the range of 300 to 400 horsepower.
Moreover, the rear-wheel drive system is expected to become standard on the new Genesis G70, while full-time AWD four-wheel drive will be optional. In terms of interior, the Genesis G70 sedan has a rather modest cab space in terms of design with a single tablet screen on top of the console, while the corresponding controller can be found on Rear seat center armrest.
Interior highlights include metallic brushed-metal controls, woolen leather material used on door and seats. Genesis is expected to unveil the all-new G70 later this summer in a car show, possibly the Frankfurt 2017, which takes place in September.
