Microsoft will no longer support for the original version of Windows 10 after May 9

Windows 10 has been debuted on July 29, 2015. It’s nearly been 2 years since the original version of the Windows 10 was released. Microsoft has given out three major updates to its new OS including November update, the Anniversary update and Creators update.

Microsoft announced that the support for the Windows 10 will end on May 9, 2017. It means that Windows will no longer receive any security or quality updated from Microsoft. The drop of the support has impact on 4 different SKUs of the Windows 10 namely Pro, Enterprise, Home and Education. Microsoft actually had a plane that they would end support for the original version of Windows on March 26, 2017, but they decide to end next month. Microsoft added the only way to continue receiving updates on windows 10 is to update to a newer version of the OS.

Of course, you can choose not to upgrade to the latest version of this and stick to the original one, but you can meet a lot of issues. You might miss out on a lot of security fixes, leading you PC more open to the threats such as virus, malware. Moreover, you can miss out some of the main new features and other improvements Microsoft add to the Windows. Therefore, it’s worth to upgrading to the latest version of Windows 10.
