After much information and photos reveal about the model sports car celebrates 50 years of Mercedes-AMG, finally, the fans also saw the Mercedes AMG Project ONE at the “Mercedes-Benz Night” event last night, just before the IAA Frankfurt International Motor Show 2017.
This is a super sports car is expected over the time by fans around the world. The Mercedes AMG Project ONE is considered to be a perfect masterpiece from design, engine to technology. This supper car is the car celebrating 50 years of Mercedes-AMG brand.
Dr. Dieter Zetsche, Chairman of Daimler AG and Mercedes-Benz Cars said in the event last night:
“The Mercedes-AMG Project ONE is designed for the track by a team of talented professionals. Collaborators in the field of F1 racing at Brixworth have created the world’s leading Formula One engine and the AMG team at the Affalterbach has transformed sports car performance into a legitimate vehicle on the street“.
The Mercedes AMG Project ONE is powered by four electric motors and a 1.6-liter V6 gasoline engine, similar to the Mercedes-AMG W07 F1. The engines are quite complex, including two front electric motors with a rotating ability of up to 50,000 rpm, an integrated electric motor in the turbocharger and an electric motor attached directly to the internal combustion engine.
Total power is generated from 5 engines of 1000 horsepower. Combined with a fully automatic 8-speed automatic gearbox developed specifically for the Project ONE, the vehicle is capable of over 350 km/h and accelerates 0-200 km/h in less than 6 seconds.
Vehicles equipped with lithium-ion batteries with the most modern technology in large size, under normal driving conditions, the system will recover 80% of the energy needed, then recharge the battery. The car has a complex wiring system up to 25km in length.
The whole body is made of carbon fiber. Inside the interior is a high-resolution 10-inch touch screen with high resolution LED display. On the driver’s side there are additional adjustment knobs that set the steering and suspension modes. In addition, the car also equipped with air conditioning, electric windows and rear camera.
Only 275 Mercedes AMG Project ONEs are produced worldwide for $2.4 million and are now all pre-ordered.
