China builds unique solar farm in the world

This special solar power plant is located in Datong, Shanxi, China. The interesting thing about this solar farm is that it looks like a giant panda from above.

Since 2016, Panda Green Energy (China) has worked with the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) on promoting renewable energy development projects in the country. And the company’s latest effort is to build a solar power plant in Shanxi province.

When the project is completed, this adorable design power plant will span an area of up to 607 ha. . A part from covering a large area, the solar power plant in Shanxi will have the layout of the panel to create a symbol of China’s “national treasure”, which is panda.

In order to shape the panda, the plant will install two main types of solar cells with different colors. The first phase of this solar power plant will provide a clean 50MW power grid. When deployed synchronously, the plant is expected to produce over 100MW, enough to provide 3.2 billion KW of electricity within 25 years, saving 1.056 million tons of coal for thermal power.

In the future, Panda Green Energy hopes that the new solar plant will help reduce 2.74 million tons of carbon emissions. Beyond that, the company is looking forward to expanding its solar projects in and outside China.

It can be said that China is one of the leading nations in the development of renewable energy to offset the huge amount of carbon dioxide that is released into the atmosphere every day. Recently, the country has completed the world’s largest floating solar farm in Anhui province. Before, Qinghai province had more than a week of using renewable electricity.
