AMD officially launches Radeon RX Vega 56 and 64, Nvidia’s counterpart in the high-end VGA gaming segment

Radeon RX Vega 56, the Radeon RX Vega 64 and the Radeon RX Vega 64 Liquid Cooled Edition are priced at 399.499 and 599 USD, respectively.

Finally, AMD returned to the high-end VAg segment to face Nvidia, with its Radeon RX Vega graphics card. The first three members to debut were Radeon RX Vega 56, Radeon RX Vega 64 and Radeon RX Vega 64 Liquid Coollled Edition.

Radeon RX Vega 56 with 56 units of calculation will be on sale on August 14 for $399. The more advanced version is Radeon RX Vega 64 with 64 units, priced at $499 for the gas-cooled version. The most advanced is Radeon Rx Vega 64Liquid Cooled Edition with water heater, priced at $ 599.

Moreover, AMD also launched the Radeon Pack, which sold two titles: The New Colossus and Prey. The Radeon Packs also include a $ 200 discount on a 34-inch curved Samsung monitor, and a $ 100 discount on the Ryzen 7 1800X and 370X motherboards. Packages of Radeon Packs cost $ 499.599 and $ 699, respectively.

AMD promises a new architecture that is 200% faster than the previous generation, along with a new version of broadband memory. AMD says the VGA RX Vega 64 can handle 13.7 teraflops.

If the Radeon RX Vega 56 will be the counterpart of the GeForce GTX 1070, the RX Vega 64 will compete directly with the GTX 1080. According to some AMD tests on the Battlefield 1, Gears of War and Forza, the maximum frame rate of the RX Vega 64 is lower than the GTX 1080, but is more stable and has a higher minimum frame rate.

After AMD debuted the Vega Frontier Edition in June and the VGA was easily beaten by the GTX 1080, the Radeon RX Vega 64 was the new hope of the Reds. AMD says the Vega Frontier Edition is designed to focus on graphics processing, but the RX Vega 56 and RX Vega 64 will focus more on the high-end gaming experience.
