LG and Samsung made headlines in the first half of this year with flagships using infinity screens. This can be considered as a new standard for the smartphone industry in the near future. Recently, an unnamed Chinese company has launched an advertisement for a super-slim handset similar to LG’s, Samsung’s.
Maze, a largely unpopular Chinese company in the smartphone market, has just released an advertisement for their upcoming Alpha phone. Alpha has many similarities with the design of the LG G6, Samsung Galaxy S8 or the phone Essential that Andy Rubin revealed a little ago.
In the advertisement image, we only see 2/3 upper body of the machine. It means you do not know the Home button, how the navigation is arranged. Most companies like Xiaomi, LG, Samsung are pursuing the trend to reduce the maximum screen border (including the top / bottom edge) except some names still firmly retaining old designs such as HTC, Sony.
According to rumor expert Evan Blass, the Maze Alpha will come with a 6-inch FHD display, which uses an 8-core chip, equipped with a dual camera system on the rear (which includes a 13 MP sensor from Sony), 4000 mAh battery and running the Android Nougat. The phone will have 2 versions of RAM 4 GB / 64 GB and 6 GB / 128 GB RAM.
